Forbes Releases Top 10 Richest Nigerian Musicians For 2015 – Number 1 Will Shock You! (+Pics)

Music has been paying heavily in Nigeria for the past ten years. No wonder average Nigerian youths sees music as the quick means to wealth and fame.
Why not! When a good number of artistes have risen from nothing to something over the years, enjoying wealth that can only be imagined by average people.
The question is Who is the richest among these musicians and how much are they worth?
In music, your popularity determines your worth, you don’t make poo if you are not popular.
How do we determine the popularity of an artiste? Do not let their noises or that of their fans deafen your ears, some aren’t worth that much, while some worth so much.
The number one means of knowing how popular a musician or music is, is by checking out it’s YouTube stat.
If you are popular, it will show on your YouTube views, no manipulation.
And if you have a great stat on YouTube, you are a great artiste, making good money.
Another means is through awards but since most music awards are heavily manipulated, we are going to skip awards and use other means such as endorsement and ability to pull crowed and command good appearance fee.  Self promotion isn’t gonna count in this rating.
Here I present to you the top 10 richest musicians in Nigeria and their estimated net worth.
This list is the most detailed and most accurate you can find anywhere on the internet. Enjoy!
10. Timaya – Timaya’s vocal power is unmatched in the industry. He is one one the best and probably the most successful music star ever come out of the Niger Delta area. Far more successful than Daniel Wilson and others. He is truly the “Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa”.

We won't abandon Saraki - PDP

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh

THE Peoples Democratic Party has said that the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, is fit for the office he is occupying; hence it is not considering any candidate to replace him.
The PDP denied reports that it was already looking for a senator from the opposition party to replace Saraki, who is currently under pressure to resign from office following his trial for false asset declaration by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Nigeria’s two main labour unions–Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress – on Saturday demanded Saraki’s resignation on moral grounds consequent upon his trial at the CCT.
The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, who spoke to our correspondent on Sunday, said the party still believed that the trial of Saraki was political and that the PDP would not think of abandoning the Senate president until it sees the merit of the case.
Metuh said, “We have no candidate for the office of the Senate President, because we have a fit person occupying the position for now.
“We are behind him and we can’t abandon him just because he is undergoing trial. Anybody can be put on trial, but the question we should ask is whether the trial is political or not.
“Does the trial have merit? When we see the merit of the case, we will take position. But for now, there is nothing like that.”
Saraki, a former governor of Kwara State, is currently facing a 13-count charge of making false declaration as a governor between 20013 and 2011.
Since his arraignment before the tribunal, there had been speculations that the PDP, which produced Saraki’s deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, had been scheming to replace him with one of its senators.
Among those being touted as possible replacements for Saraki are Ekweremadu; a former Senate President, David Mark; and a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio.
Saraki had defied the directive of his party, the All Progressives Congress, and had clinched the Senate presidency with the backing of senators of the PDP, his former party.
The APC has 59 senators while the PDP has 49 but the Senate inauguration and election took place on June 9 while about 50 APC senators were waiting for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari outside the National Assembly.
But while the APC senators have been divided from inception of the eighth Senate, all the 49 PDP senators have been united.
The PDP senators have been the main backers of Saraki since his assumption of office as the Senate president.
Metuh said it was too early for the party to be talking with its members in the Senate or thinking of abandoning the Senate president.
He said the PDP was still of the opinion that Saraki was being prosecuted because of his political belief.
The opposition spokesman said, “We are not even thinking of replacement for Saraki for now. The National Assembly is a separate arm of the government just like the judiciary and the executive.
“Is anyone thinking that there would be leadership change in the executive and the judiciary?
“Are they not independent of the other? What we are interested in is that all the three arms of government must be allowed to function independently of the other. We are saying there shouldn’t be any interference.”
When he was reminded that the leadership of both the executive and the judiciary are not on trial for any crime, Metuh said that “trial doesn’t amount to conviction.”

7 Steps to Achieve Your Dream

7 Steps to Achieve Your Dream
Want to get going on your goals? This is how.
March 25, 2014
“Vision is the spectacular that inspires us to carry out the mundane.” —Chris Widener
Can achievement be broken down into steps? It isn’t always that clean and easy, but those who achieve great things usually go through much of the same process, with many of the items listed below as part of that process. So if you have been struggling with achievement, look through the following. Begin to apply them and you will be on the road to achieving your dream.
Step 1: Dream it. Everything begins in the heart and mind. Every great achievement began in the mind of one person. They dared to dream, to believe that it was possible. Take some time to allow yourself to ask “What if?” Think big. Don’t let negative thinking discourage you. You want to be a “dreamer.” Dream of the possibilities for yourself, your family and for others. If you had a dream that you let grow cold, re-ignite the dream! Fan the flames. Life is too short to let it go.
Step 2: Believe it. Yes, your dream needs to be big. It needs to be something that is seemingly beyond your capabilities. But it also must be believable. You must be able to say that if certain things take place, if others help, if you work hard enough, though it is a big dream, it can still be done. Good example: A person with no college education can dream that he will build a $50 million-a-year company. That is big, but believable. Bad example: That a 90-year-old woman with arthritis will someday run a marathon in under three hours. It is big all right, but also impossible. She should instead focus on building a $50 million-a-year business! And she better get a move on!
Step 3: See it. The great achievers have a habit. They “see” things. They picture themselves walking around their CEO office in their new $25 million corporate headquarters, even while they are sitting on a folding chair in their garage “headquarters.” Great free-throw shooters in the NBA picture the ball going through the basket. PGA golfers picture the ball going straight down the fairway. World-class speakers picture themselves speaking with energy and emotion. All of this grooms the mind to control the body to carry out the dream.
Step 4: Tell it. One reason many dreams never go anywhere is because the dreamer keeps it all to himself. It is a quiet dream that only lives inside of his mind. The one who wants to achieve their dream must tell that dream to many people. One reason: As we continually say it, we begin to believe it more and more. If we are talking about it then it must be possible. Another reason: It holds us accountable. When we have told others, it spurs us on to actually doing it so we don’t look foolish.
Step 5: Plan it. Every dream must take the form of a plan. The old saying that you “get what you plan for” is so true. Your dream won’t just happen. You need to sit down, on a regular basis, and plan out your strategy for achieving the dream. Think through all of the details. Break the whole plan down into small, workable parts. Then set a time frame for accomplishing each task on your “dream plan.”
Step 6: Work it. Boy, wouldn’t life be grand if we could quit before this one! Unfortunately the successful are usually the hardest workers. While the rest of the world is sitting on their sofas watching reruns of Gilligan's Island , achievers are working on their goal—achieving their dream. I have an equation that I work with: Your short-term tasks, multiplied by time, equal your long-term accomplishments. If you work on it each day, eventually you will achieve your dream. War and Peace was written, in longhand, page by page.
Step 7: Enjoy it. When you have reached your goal and you are living your dream , be sure to enjoy it. In fact, enjoy the trip, too. Give yourself some rewards along the way. Give yourself a huge reward when you get there. Help others enjoy it. Be gracious and generous. Use your dream to better others. Then go back to No. 1. And dream a little bigger this time!

Video: Man city vs spurs goals and what to learn from the match.

Manchester City lost a second league game in a row, with Harry Kane scoring his first club goal this season as Tottenham came from 1-0 down to win.
Kevin de Bruyne angled in an effort to put leaders City in front before Eric Dier equalised with a 25-yard shot.
Toby Alderweireld then nodded Spurs in front from an Erik Lamela free-kick.
Kane side-footed in when team-mate Christian Eriksen's free-kick came back off the woodwork before Lamela slid home as the visitors chased the game.
Kane is finally able
Kane scored four goals in his first eight games for Spurs last season but had gone 12 hours without scoring for his club when the clock ticked past 33 minutes here.
He looked to be in for another frustrating game when, having already shot wide, he was denied by Caballero after digging the ball out to get another effort away with his left foot.
But just after the hour mark, he was rewarded for his persistence to end a run of 748 minutes without a goal for his club.
"There's been a lot of talk but I'm a confident man and have faith in my ability," Kane told BT Sport. "I'm delighted. It was a very good victory against a team who were top of the table."
Harry Kane's touchmap shows he might have been struggling to score but he kept working hard for his team
Decisions, decision, decisions
Both sides had cause for complaint as the assistant referees failed to spot players in offside positions for three of the goals at White Hart Lane.
De Bruyne was marginally ahead of play when he was set up by Yaya Toure before putting City in front, though it was a close call.
The decision for Tottenham's equaliser was more clear cut. Kyle Walker was clearly offside as he ran onto the ball down the left, before Son Heung-min had a shot saved at point-blank range by Willy Caballero. De Bruyne could only clear to Dier, who scored. City centre-back Martin Demichelis was booked for his complaints.
England striker Kane then appeared to be in an offside position before latching onto the loose ball for his goal.
What's gone wrong for City?
City had won five league games in succession before losing to Juventus in their opening Champions League match of the season 11 days ago.
Defeat by the Italian champions appears to have knocked them out of their stride, and Manuel Pellegrini's side have now lost three of their past four matches.
Injuries to key players have not helped, with goalkeeper Joe Hart on the bench at Spurs because of a back injury which meant he only trained for one day before the game.
Caballero, his deputy, was caught out when he came for Lamela's free-kick and allowed Alderweireld to put the hosts 2-1 up.
Like Hart, City skipper Vincent Kompany was also missing, while midfielder Toure injured a hamstring to add to Pellegrini's problems.
Man of the match - Erik Lamela
Erik Lamela scored and assisted a goal in the same Premier League game for the first time
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "It is never easy to play against a club like Manchester City as they have so many great players. I congratulate my players because they were brilliant. We fully deserved the victory.
"We are all very happy for Harry Kane. As a striker, you want to score. It is very important for the team and him. We believe in his talent and quality."
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini: "Two of their goals were offside. I think we didn't play well in second half. The Premier League is always very difficult.
"We must continue working and playing like we did in the opening 45 minutes."
Pundit analysis
Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas on Final Score: "Spurs showed real character. Harry Kane has got his goal and they've taken their chances. After the derby defeat by Arsenal in midweek, this is exactly what they needed."
The stats you need to know
Tottenham's starting XI against City had an average age of 24 years and 40 days - the youngest in the Premier League this season. The previous youngest side was also fielded by Spurs - against Crystal Palace last weekend (24 years 118 days).
De Bruyne has scored three goals in his past three games for City - from just four shots on target.
Toure has four assists in seven league appearances this season. He had only one in 29 games last season.
Tottenham scored four goals in a league game against Manchester City for the first time since September 1962, when they won 4-2.
What next?
City will aim to get their Champions League campaign back on track when they visit Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday. Spurs are next in action on Thursday, when they travel to Monaco in the Europa League.

MUST READ: WENGER REPLY TO MOURINHO.

WENGER: RANIERI, NOT MOURINHO, LAID CHELSEA FOUNDATIONS

The Gunners boss has added to the feud between the two managers by claiming the squad inherited by his old rival has aided his success at Stamford BridgeArsenal manager Arsene Wenger has belittled
Jose Mourinho's achievements at Chelsea by suggesting Claudio Ranieri laid the foundations for their decade of success.
The 65-year-old has participated in a long-running feud with Mourinho since the Portuguese boss originally arrived in the Premier League in June 2004, replacing current Leicester City boss Ranieri.
Mourinho inherited a string of players developed during Ranieri’s stint – including John Terry, William Gallas, Claude Makelele and Frank Lampard – who went on to form the core of his side.
Chelsea won their first top-flight league title in 50 years during Mourinho’s first season, as well as a League Cup triumph, yet the Gunners boss feels their early successes were in part down to Ranieri.
"When Claudio left Chelsea he built the team that was so successful at the start," he told reporters.
"I remember them finishing second in the league with Ranieri and the team was upcoming with young players like John Terry and Frank Lampard who were the players that contributed to the success of Chelsea.
"Look at the team of Chelsea when he left: they all survived after. They were on the way up when he left.
"Yes, he built the foundations. He did a great job. He bought Lampard; they had Terry, [Marcel] Desailly, Gallas. They had already a very strong team."
Arsenal travel to Ranieri's high-flying Leicester on Saturday, with the hosts looking to extend their standing as the Premier League’s only remaining unbeaten team.

AT LAST GABRIEL HANDED ONE-MATCH SUSPENSION.

GABRIEL HANDED ONE-MATCH SUSPENSION

The centre-back tussled with Diego Costa during the Gunners' 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge but had his red card rescinded, though he has been banned for improper conductArsenal defender Gabriel has been handed a one-match suspension by the Football Association for improper conduct following his dismissal against Chelsea on Saturday.
The centre-back was shown a red card after clashing with Diego Costa, with the Gunners star kicking out at the Spain international following a penalty box tussle.
Arsenal subsequently appealed the sending off, with the FA upholding the appeal, while Costa was slapped with a three-match suspension of his own.
Gabriel, though, has not escaped punishment and will miss the clash against Leicester after admitting to his charge, while he has also been fined £10,000.
"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Arsenal defender Gabriel will serve a one-match suspension with immediate effect after he admitted an FA charge of improper conduct," read a statement on the FA's site.
"The charge relates to Gabriel’s behaviour following his dismissal in or around the 45th minute of the game against Chelsea on Saturday [19 September 2015].
"The player, who requested a personal hearing, was also fined £10,000 and warned as to his future conduct."

Man City target Thiago as Pogba alternative.

The Premier League club recognise that the Juventus midfielder is likely to opt for Barcelona and have therefore identified the Bayern Munich star as a potential alternativeManchester City have already identified.
Thiago Alcantara as a potential alternative to Paul Pogba ahead of next summer’s transfer window, Goal understands.

Thiago extended his contract until 2019 just one month ago, saying to BILD: "It has been two difficult years for me but the club always stood by me. You cannot give thanks with words, you have to give it back on pitch. My family is really feeling comfortable here. The extension is great. A good group is growing together here."
The midfielder is a regular in the Bayern side although his performances haven't been that impressive so far this season. Nevertheless, club, coach and player are happy with Thiago's current situation although a mega offer from City may well prove tempting.
The former Barca player isn't a Bayern role model in the mould of the likes of Thomas Muller and Philipp Lahm, though I expect Bayern would reject anything but a sensational bid for his services.
MAN CITY TARGET THIAGO AS POGBA HOPES FADE
The Premier League club recognise that the Juventus midfielder is likely to opt for Barcelona and have therefore identified the Bayern Munich star as a potential alternative
EXCLUSIVE By Sam Lee & Paul Clennam
Manchester City have already identified
Thiago Alcantara as a potential alternative to
Paul Pogba ahead of next summer’s transfer window, Goal understands.
The Premier League leaders embarked on an unprecedented spending spree during the close season, bringing in six new players at a cost of just over £150 million.
The likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling have played an instrumental role in ensuring City have begun the new domestic campaign in scintillating form, winning seven of their first eight games in all competitions.
Despite that impressive start, the club’s director of football Tixi Begiristain is already drawing up a list of ambitious targets a year in advance. City maintain an interest in Pogba, having been prepared to break the world transfer record for his services last summer.
But with the France international understood to prefer a move to Barcelona, City have been keeping tabs on the Spain playmaker who they deem to be a far cheaper alternative. City dispatched scouts to run the rule over Tiago twice already this season and will continue to keep tabs on a player whose Bayern career has been regularly interrupted by a series of long-term injuries.
The 24-year-old, who snubbed a move to Manchester United two years ago, made only 13 appearances last season but has been a mainstay of the side which has won its last eight matches in all competitions.
Despite Manuel Pellegrini signing a new contract in the summer, reports linking Bayern manager Pep Guardiola with the manager’s role at the Etihad Stadium have continued to surface.
The former Barcelona boss’s contract with Bayern expires in the summer but Goal understands City will pursue Tiago regardless of whether their long-standing interest in Guardiola bears fruit.

Why Liverpool owners want to sack Brendan Rodgers and want Carlo Ancelotti to replace him – report

Liverpool have decided to sack Brendan Rodgers after the Reds’ poor start to the Premier League season and will approach Carlo Ancelotti to take over from the former Swansea boss, according to Merseyside journalist Graham Beecroft.
Rodgers’ side have picked up just eight points from their opening six matches and struggled to see off League Two’s Carlisle in the Capital One Cup last night.
The former Reading boss held onto his job at the end of last season after a dismal run of results and spent around £80million in the summer in a bid to return the Reds to the Champions League.
However, Beecroft says Liverpool’s Fenway Sports Group owners have decided to part ways after last night’s poor performance and are targeting Ancelotti.
‘John W Henry would have looked at that performance and thought, ‘this is not good enough and a change has to be made’, and I understand that is going to happen,’ Beecroft told talkSPORT .
‘In fact, the club board were split in what to do with Brendan Rodgers but the power base in Boston decided before this game that they were going to make the change.
‘Unless something happens, whereby Ancelotti says ‘no’, that will be the only thing that will save Brendan and, even then, he would only stay in the short term.’

Mourinho: Mikel Amazing In Walsall Victory.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reserved special praises for the Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi in the Blues' 4-1 Capital One Cup win over Walsall on Wednesday night.
Mikel was deployed in a three-man midfield alongside Ramires and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
"The midfield was really good. Mikel and Ramires played amazingly well," Mourinho told the Chelsea website.
Mourinho also commented about the contributions of club captain John Terry: "John was solid, no problem. We brought a solid defence.
The Portuguese manager said of their opponents: "I analysed Walsall before. I was surprised with the quality of their play.
“They were a different team to normal in League One; not so physical, and technically fast. They were very well organised.
“I haven’t found a team in League One playing the quality of football that they tried to play.”
Mikel Obi was yellow-carded though in the 39th minute of the game in a 90-minute appearance.

Chelsea's next COC opponents are Premier League rivals Stoke City.
